For over 30 years, M O’Brien Plant Hire has been providing a one stop plant solution to a wide variety of clients. The company is renowned nationwide for its quality of machine operatives, so when investing in new equipment, it follows the same policy and only chooses high quality machines. This enables them to continue providing a first class and reliable service to all of their customers no matter how big or small the job is.
In their most recent fleet renewal program, M O’Brien Plant Hire made the decision to purchase a variety of Komatsu excavators with Marubeni-Komatsu. The main contributing factor in why they chose Komatsu over other manufacturers is because each machine comes with an abundance of safety and performance features as standard which aligns with M O’Brien Plant Hire’s mission to supply customers with high quality equipment.
Part of the order features 10x Komatsu PC228USLC-11 excavators which have a short tail swing radius allowing the machine to operate safely in confined spaces. Safety is further improved with the sliding cab door that allows unrestricted access to the machine whilst also reducing the likelihood of the door being damaged. Other standard safety features include a neutral detection system, KomVision surround view system, and a seat belt caution indicator.
Even though the PC228USLC-11 is more compact than a conventional excavator, it does not compromise the stability or digging capabilities of the machine. The excavator is also fitted with a Komatsu EU Stage V engine which provides businesses with superior performance whilst also lowering their environmental impact in line with M O’Brien’s sustainability commitments.
The order also features 2x Komatsu PC490LC-11 and 2x PC700LC-11 excavators, allowing M O’Brien Plant Hire to provide customers with Komatsu excavators for a variety of different applications.
All three of the excavator models in the order are built in the Komatsu UK factory and are fitted with a Komatsu EU Stage V engine which will provide M O’Brien Plant Hire’s customers with superior performance whilst also lowering their environmental impact across their job sites.
